let out on the clutch to fast i think and it wont go in any gears? is my trans screwed up now? i took my left axle out and when you start it up where the cv joint bolts to its spinning still? or could it be the clutch? if its the trans would i be better off lettin someone rebuild it for me or just get a diffrent one? and if it does need rebuilt what would be the best way to take it out?

Pull the drain plug and see if there are any metal chunks on the magnet. You might have blown the diff or r&p. What trans? Does it grind or make any funny noises when in gear? I have seen a few clutches explode when dumping the clutch.

im running a 3 rib its a 73 or 74 is what the guy i got it off of told me its hooked to a 1600cc motor and nope no grinding

Does it have the acorn nuts on the sides by the cv flanges?

what are you sayin acorn nut? its a side shift i all i know are you talking about the 2 bolts on the side of the trans that looks liks it hold that thing that the cv bolts up to?

well i found out what it was i was soo glad it wasent the trans it was the brake rotor where it has the splines that goes on your stub axle the grooves were wore out
