nice pictures guys?

this is the picture and video forum isn't it? aren't you guys arguing about the same stuff in Buggy Talk? Come on guys we want to see pictures and videos from wilburns not hear everyone whine about something thats already over!
Oops, MY BAD.

Just scroll down or click on another thread, there is no law that says you have to read every post.
I dont see anyone arquing or whining. We are just trying to help find a way so everyone can enjoy
PARTICIPATING inthe hillclimb events for years to come. Even little motor 2 seaters that blow up first ride and dont get fixed for half the year.
"ITS" not "already over". This is not only about the one event in AL last weekend. HOPEFULLY there are many more hillclimb events to come. This is making plans for something that could validate our hobby as a "real" motorsport someday. Even Baja, NASCAR and NHRA had to start somewhere.
I'll post what I want, where I want, until Dean, DVS1, or Admin says different.
I apologize for taking up your time, but let the grown ups talk for a minute.
No hard feelings
Larry
I'm sorry Larry I shouldn't have opened the wilburns thread in pictures and videos and expected to see pictures and videos, my bad? Second, I understand what you guys are trying to do all I was saying there was a thread in buggy talk where the same subject was being discussed. Third, I read through the three pages and I did pick up some whining, I don't care i was just stating that. Fourth, I am sorry I have a little motor, and a two seat buggy, but it blew up on the second ride! haha. Sure I still have a little motor but it is built right and by no means stock, but if you want to bash me for that you're more than welcome too! As soon as I blew my motor I was right on top of it building another one so I'm sorry it took a half a year to get my buggy back together but I also don't have endless funds and I was in no rush. So, I'll stay out of your "grown up" talk since I'm only 19 years old that must mean I can't have an intelligent conversation. Thanks for your time!
NO HARD FEELINGS,
Jeff
You are right, there is a thread where this is being discussed, but it is probably the most important thing this website can do for our sport right now, and it should be being discussed and viewed by all. Any thread stolen over it is ok by me. Around here, like Bruce said, the hillclimbs have made a VERY significant boost in buggy interest. There are veterans who had gotten out of the hobby and came back into it because of these hillclimb events. They have helped our local Buggy shop owner to grow and have more funds to sponsor more events. They are helping our riding park to stay open to the public. I apologize for the remark about your motor, it was uncalled for, but I was pretty pissed about you telling a KEY person (Sharpshooter) who has a huge part in starting these events not to post up here because its a pics and vids section. He can plaster it all over every thread if it will help the competitions.
These discussions WILL allow those on smaller budget to compete and have fun, and most importantly , keep doing it and bringing in new people. I know how it sucks to never have a chance to win, I'm one of them. I'll probably never win because my buggy warrants me running with the big dogs, even though I dont have the skills to do so. I dont care. I'll still give my entry fee. It will help keep the hobby alive for others to get outdoors and enjoy years from now.
I am far from having an endless budget. I'm broke as a joke right now after riding this weekend and paying for some buggy upgrades. I sacrifice lunches and new boots when I need them and new clothes so I can build my buggy to the best it can be. Drive a POS '95 nissan car everyday to save gas money, and did so even when it was $1.50 a gallon. I make as many parts on the buggy that I can, or trade work with friends whenever possible. I work on commission and work til midnite or later every nite when I need something for my buggy, whether it be sidework, or for the dealership I work at. If I can afford a decent buggy, anyone with the ability to work can too.
I'm quite sure you can hold intelligent conversation. Age has nothing to do with intelligence, just wisdom. My son is much younger than you and he is sharper than I'll ever be again. In Fact, guys like
you and him are exactly who these classes are trying to be developed for, so use some of your young brain and ability to problem solve in new ways to tell everyone how it would work best for you, instead of just thinking we are in your way when you want to watch a video. I think positive input from younger competitors would help S.S. and Gizmo a lot.
I hope my temper doesnt keep you from entering an event someday, I might should have let it slide and not said anything, but it struck me pretty hard to read your post. There have been COUNTLESS volunteer hours put in by the men who organize these events, I had to fire back. I fire up quick, but cool off quick , too. I'm over it . Come on down on July fifth. You wont regret it. Its a blast to just be involved with the competitions. HP and weight will have less bearing than ever in the next competition at D&K.
Seriously, no hard feelings
Larry
