We got to go on a three hour shake down run this past saturday at a small local place called Dick's Creek in Unicoi TN. It wasn't very challenging but was enough to brake the bracket to my power steering box! Thank goodness for carrying a ratchet strap! --when mounting the steer box, I had cut half way thru the bracket to make it fold exactly where I wanted it to and forgot to weld the cut line up --OOPS! The good thing was that no mater what size the object you were running over, you could not feel it in the steering wheel-even with eyes closed! I sometimes do that

[scared]

Had a funny noise coming out of trans when changing gears [sound like a bearing but not a throwout bearing sound!], that was not there in the other buggy and I didnt take eng off of trans. My IDF"s[44"s] were clogging idle jets and timing was a touch to high. The steer bracket was fixed on monday and will work on the others soon. Here are a couple pics of the ride. A friend, Rick, who is new to buggys, went with us for his first outing with other buggys. He likes the mud!
This is a pic of my buggy with the doors on and the windows down.

Rick -plowing a large mud hole!

Mike -the passenger of Rick's little red buggy -got a spot of mud on him!

Clean up was a breeze at the creek.

Rick also found a spot of mud on him as well!
