What kind of bennafits from running extended arms on front? I have not talked to or rode with anyone who runs them. I am sure you get some ground clearance, but what else?

more travel, means softer ride,,softer ride means less rebound. or something :?

I extended mine 2 1/2 inches. It does make a big difference, imo. It was a real PITA getting them setup correctly, though.

Do you run the same amount of springs? I imagine the extended trailling arm would do the same? Wouldn't you have to raise the rear if you extended the arms in the front?

Not necessarily it could just be set up to have more droop travel in the front. The longer arms will apply more leverage to any spring used wether a torsion spring pack, coil over or nitrogen. If you want to retain the same spring rate as before it will likely need to be stiffened up.

There's also a good chance it will be just right...try it out on a ride with some good hills first. :wink:

The 4 seat I am building is long and heavy- I am looking at future changes to make perform better. I will ride it the way it is for now but thank you guys for all the info!
