very nice looking buggy you have. That front end work is nice. Time to test it out and ride.

Not alum. ---its race car plastic -- .125 thick-- takes a hell of a lick! Use a brake to make bends that hold there shape. 4x8 sheet $40.00

Do you have a brake to ned it up? I want to do that to mine and thats cheaper than the sheeting I was looking at. How do you have it fastened onto the frame? Looks great and clean looking.

Not sure of the Question, but in the pics I have used self drilling screws to hold into place till I get the color matching pop rivets installed. I will post some pics tomarrow of them installed!
To fold the plastic with a sheet metal brake makes a cleaner -more defined bend. I have tried bend it with boards and angle iron clamped on top of the plastic and force a bend---- but it doesn't look like the bends from a brake. We have placed the sheets on the sides of buggies with self drill screws --no folds--- still looked good!

Sorry my fingers got criscrossed while I was typing. I was asking if you had a brake to bend it. I have tried the clamps and angle iron before with OK results but I would like a cleaner look.

I bought a cheap 36" brake from Harbor Freight for $145.00 a couple year ago. It does a good job on any thing that is under 36"! It is hard to do a box with it since it has no grooves in the blade to let edges slide between when folding.{ hope you understood that rambling} The more I use it the more I wish I had a better brake?

Understand, maybe I can get you to help me with my body on the rail sometime later on this summer. I have always wanted a body on the thing.

Anytime is fine with me!

I got a small amount more done on buggy while at work today. Got a pic of color matching pop rivets [there close!]. I finished the hood frame and made a couple of bends on the cover sheet. Am going back tomarrow to finish hood. I have been doing the work on buggy when we have nothing to do at work--- we are still a little slow. I am at 100hrs. on buggy buid. I hope to get on the wiring next week! I still have not decided on what I am going to do for covering the roof. the last buggy had a fiberglass top that I built ----A LOT OF WORK !

Looks good, if your going to serious woods ride I wouldn't think of nothing but a metal top. Street use I still would go metal but might consider something else.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Went to my work this morning to work on buggy. Since the service department is closed on saturdays, there was noone there to bother me and I got a few small things done. I finished the hood and got most of the rivets put on to the side panels. I made two of the four winch power cables and installed them from the winch to the control box. I mounted the control box on kick panel in front of pedal assembly.May be able to start on wiring soon.

Hubs and front wheels painted today. Got switch box mounted and wiring ran this week-all wires ran and hooked up. Will hook overhead lights after roof panel is installed-- should be first of the week. Still waiting on hydrolic hoses that are being made!
