How big you going? Go really big! It's only money!lol.a lot of things to think about and every combo imaginable to rack your brain.but in the end build it to suit your riding style and what you like to do the best.if you don't put lots of miles at a time and really like to climb the toughest hills out there then go as big as you can afford.once you build up to a 2276 your basically the same money to go to a 2387 if you have to buy all new as in crank rods cam and machine work plus 94's.I know it's pretty expensive to build one up without nothing,I just picked up my new motor and have over 3500.00 in it and that's just a long block,so you can really put a lot in one if you want to.I know you w/c guys will love bashing me on that but that's what I wanted.a good 1915 with really good heads and cam will ride forever and take you anywhere you need to go if you can drive but a 2332 will do the same and give you a little more play factor as far as climbing.no matter what you build on the bottom end spend really good money on your heads and build it up beneath them IMO.heads are something that will make or break you on having a good motor far more than a cam crank rod size.Chad

If you know how to drive a built 1915 with great heads and a cam will climb anything. Keep the weight down on your rotating mass and hang on. WC guy's think spending crazy money is fine if thats what you want. I have a wife and kid that I have to provide for. Not to mention I have the biggest rail in three States. Finally found a hill I couldn't climb, need tires with big lugs.

Build what you and you wallet find best, it is as much personal preference. If you can build a bigger (displacement) engine for the same money then you are better served by doing so. Again I believe from his posts that Aaron Creech is a great resource as far as what works best for your budget. So I would speak with a pro builder to get the most out of our ever shrinking dollar.

The 1915 I built for my buddy Dave runs just as good as the 2276 I had in my black buggy.
