Where are we measuring the float level at? the side nearest to the needle jet? Or out at the end of the float? I measure mine out at the end, and mine is very picky about being about 13-14 anything less an it floods the bowls an runs like poo , just my experience

Got everything put back together turned the key on heard a pop which sounded like it came from the dist so im assuming my petronix shit the bed turned it over to see if i had spark and couldnt quite tell so grabbes the plug and waiting to get zapped.nothing there so gonna go get points and condenser i dont wanna keep forking 70+ dollars on this ignition i will be getting ahold of the manufacturer and sending these back all my coils i had have internal resistors and was reading good and even threw the flamethrower coil on beings it is the only one they say the warranty would be good with for that ignition

ive got a petronix in 2 of my motors one since 03 the other since 06 and buddy of mine has one he has been running for i know 12 year all with bosch blue coils and never had a issue, if you having issues its something besides the petronix itself, if its blowing the petronix by turning on the key it sounds like its hooked up wrong or a bare wire shorting somewhere

X2 on not hooked up right or grounding out. I trouble shoot for a living. When I switched mine over from points Lisa was telling me how to do it. Of course I let her no how skilled I was and went on my way. Next day I was buying a generic one saying this petronix was bad out of the box she just laughed and said " yea yea that's what they all say ". My generic one still strong 4 yr later. You have to no wich ones the ground. Mine were mixed up. I had to use meter and follow everything back. Points didn't care petronix did.. I did tranny swap 3 to 5.,didn't recheck throttle stop. Every ride it got worse. I cleaned them messed with isles over and over. The nut on shaft they holds butterflys was loose. Couldn't get them to syncro. Finnaly after noticing nut tightening it synched them running like new. My crunch is back no popping and bull. So needless to say I will never underestimate important of throttle stop. I tried everything before I figured that out. 9 times out of 10 its something simple. User error. Hope ya get it. Nothing worse than are rail not running right. MIGHT news a fresh set of eyes on it. Usually helps

I was tripping on the way they were acting and I called creech, he me if I was sure my throttle stop was right, i thaught it was completly forgot about changing out trannys. Little shit like that just kicks my ass. Too many smoke breaks lol. Thanks Aaron for taking a call from a brother when he has his head up his ass. Haha. Cant wait to ride. Boo fest.
