you will need to turn up your torsion, there is more leverage with 3x3's and it will sag, and for the money the rancho is a good shock so its really how deep your wallet is on what you want to use.

I had to turn my torsion up and also add coil over shocks but, I'm also running a heavier water cooled engine.

I'd fit a thicker torsion bar to match personally, as you've just dropped the spring rate by a fair amount.

Cranking them up works but 28 or 30 mm bars make for an easy install. If you have the time and cash install a center torsion adjuster. I'm running Fox shocks in the rear. I'll check what valving, You might find it about the same price to go to coil overs. You'll get a much better ride at lower speeds.

IMO the 28mm bars are much too heavy. I have a set on the shelf and I decided to put the stock bars back in my woodsbuggy (with 3x3's). It almost rides as smooth as my coil-over buggy did! I did say almost.

Make me realise how heavy our buggy is then

30mm main torsion bars and 80lb/inch coilover springs as well!

Weight and how your going to use the rail matter. I have 30s installed with no preload and still bottom them out but I like to drive 50-60 mph through the whoops and creek beds with soccer and basketball size rocks. You have to consider how you are going use the rail. if the rail is heavy and your spending most your time under 30 mph softer bars provide a much smoother ride. You could aways install a center adjuster and start with stock bars.
