i might just go with the pre-made mount before i fabricate my own. Depends on what degree there is of drilling holes, etc

Since I had the front bracket from the bus all I drilled was 4 holes. Two for the lower engine studs and two for the mid strap. All the rest was done with the torch welder and grinder.
Took about about 4 hours to do, with about $10 worth of metal.

jeff is rite! with stock arms your existing axles will work, all you will need is 2 bus cv's on the tranny side  but extra cv's are always always a must  the store bout mount will cost you $30 plus shipping, not gonna break the bank but it depends on your fab skills  and dave is also rite, if you make it through our debates working on your buggy is a breeze  lmao!!!!

jayrod it looks like my existing axles will work with the arms i have. They dont seem to be in too bad of shape either. Unless something happens I'm just going to stick with these, or when i go with 2x3's like you are doing.

Seriously..... what are you going with ? the deal 2054pack rat is awsome for the price!!! stock axles do not work with this without modifying them...with your arms.... you want thing or porchse 924 axles(if im wrong correct me) it is a direct bolt in just centering it up.and you are going to want to find thing or 924 stubs(But If you know a machinist he can machine stock stubs for bus or 924,944 whichever you may have)That way you have type 2 on both ends. its is accually easy and the price your gonna pay for motor and trans will let you spend some in extra areas. a GOOD DRIVE TRAIN IS GONNA COST YOU WHAT YOU SPENT FOR BUGGY OR MORE!!!!! JMO   !!!! YOU GOT ALL WINTER!!!!!!

The axles that i have worked, but since the bus cvs are wider there wasnt enough room for the c-clip on the axle. I bolted it up anyway. Do you think that it matters If i dont have that clip on there?

The clips are need to keep the cv on when the suspension drops.

although i agree with perry, i ran no clips on the bottom for years with no issues. i think i have clips on bottoms now iwth my current setup, but with your wheel travel (stock arms, stock torsion, stock axles) i highly doubt you will pull an axle out.

the trailing arms will bend if you dont have the box kit on them i had a set of boxed arms and they were welded from someone else and i still bent the arms cause the welds broke !
if you plan on takeing it off the trailer have boxed arms !
