Hi Guys
The engine in my buggy is trashed so I found a 1982 vanagon 2.0 to put in it.
One head has been pulled to inspect things . Owner says it was just rebuilt but not by him and it still has the cross hatching in the cylinder so I think he is right. I live in cleveland Ga so I called Jake Raby to find a head gasket and he said he dosen't use head gaskets. Now I know he is the MAN on type 4 motors but I was wondering if you all use head gaskets or not.

if the other side has gaskets i would just put the gaskets in one side and get back ridding and the over winter time maybe look into taking them out

http://www.aircooledtechnology.com great stuff and days of performance stuff for type 4 but they arent cheap like type1 stuff
