ok i went and bought a buggy for my brother sunday it is an old warrior shortback frame with a 1641 we switched out the stock vaccum advance distributor and put an 009 in it and bought a rebuild kit for the carb redid the carb but its not spraying a good solid stream of fuel when hitting the throttle i know it only sprays until it opens fully but if i get any fuel to come out of it its just a trickle the accelorator pump seams to operating fine and i cleaned the ports out for it the thing just has a serious dead spot to it hitting the gas from idle but if you work it until you build the r's up it sounds great so what do you guys think thanks

I had one of those on a '68 daily driver and iirc I had the acc. pump turned all the way up and still had a slight hesitation. 1600 w/ a scat c35 cam and an 009.

be carefu, these carbs freeze like crazy in low temperatures! I had to rig a pipe to duct hot cylinder air into the intake during winter so I could get to work without having to pull over and blow on it to unstick the throttle.

ok this carb is a little diff from that one it dont have an adjustment for the acc pump it looks like a lobe on a cam and when the lobe hits the arm it pushes in on the acc pump i put a brand new seal in the acc pump and noticed it was leaking which im guessing is not forcing the fuel up and probably barely sucking more fuel in to the acc pump from the fuel leaking out of the seal, what to do? i hate to buy whole nother dam carb kit for that one seal you guys ever do anything else with it to get them to quit leaking

if you surf around a bit it seems that it's common for the accelerator pumps to leak, and it's suggested that the bore wears out or something. Mine leaked a little, but it also worked well enough.
