so does just the high flow oil pumps let the engine run out of oil? I thought the full flow pumps actually pump oil out faster than in? Im not familuar with the full flows but with the high flow i run i have about 80 # pressure when start and about 20 after it warmed up.

Not really followin you :?
Some good points of a dry sump are:
*3 to 4 times more oil in system, therefore it lasts longer
*oil cools off more cuz it has longer route to return to engine and sits in the tank for a bit.
*dont have to worry about pickup tube not being submerged and having no oil in the pump and bearings if your sittin womperjawed on a hill because it is being picked up from the outlet on the bottom if the tank.
*with the big pumps your volume of oil flowing is increased tremendously
*oil flow is routed better

Some bad points:
*more drag on engine
*big pump sticks way out, possibly prone to damage
*expensive (but cheaper than a new a/c motor  )
*fan turns slower due to small crank pulley (smaller alt pulley can fix this)
*4 oil lines mean more crap to undo when you got to pull the motor

I'm sure there are more both good and bad, but the benefits outweigh the problems , IMO.

why are there 4 oil lines ?

my buddy has dry sump and if i remember correctly he only has 2 lines going to the pump but i have seen some that have 4 lines, and was wondering what they were all for cause it seems that 1 in and 1 out would be plenty?

The ones with just two lines are the small single stage CB pumps. The big pumps like me and Dad run (he runs a Bugpack brand, I run an ARPM) have four lines. They are a two stage pump, with a low-pressure, high volume side and a high-pressure side. The bigger stage two pump just pushes way more oil, with a lot more pressure. The high pressure side goes to a normal style canister oil filter, and the low-pressure side goes to an Oberg filer, because the low-pressure size won't push through a canister style filter fast enough. We make sure our oil is CLEAN before it circulates through our motors! :D
