does anybody have a average price on turning a crank? i spun number 1 and 3 rod bearings over the weekend at wellsville. its a 84 crank if that makes a difference.

I can get them done for about $75.
You'd have to ship it to me and then back to you.
Probably $10-15 each way.
Is it VW or Chevy journal?

Thanks Turboblue ive thought about it today. I think for right now im putting my 1641 back in . It ran trouble free for 4 or 5 years. Im on my second crank in this motor my 2332. I think ive had enough frustation for now.

If you are on your second crank already, something is wrong. This should not me happening. You might want to take the time needed to find out where your oiling problem lies. Once you figure it out, you should be able to get some trouble free service life out of your stuff.

Sounds like you need to have it alighn bored and make sure the end play is set right .003 to .005. MIKE

I hate to see a man go from a 2332 to a 1641 i have a 2332 that is 12 years old never had any problems other than freshing it up a time or too i think you have rod clearance problem I size my rods to my crank for the right clearance

I agree something is not right in the motor. You should have no more problem with a 2332 than you would with a 1641.

there is a big shop in London Ky that can turn your crank.
