I've gotten another 3 rib and where the trans and the bell housing bolt together to where the engine bolts to is like 5" so the bell housing is 5" thick same as the one I have in my rail, but with one difference is where the 2 studs & the 2 bolts at the top is 1/2" shorter. What's up with that? Should I take my other bell housing off and swat them or find longer bolts?

The bell housing that was on the 3 rib is a 091 it's on the left & the 002 is right. There both 5" deep.
Any way I swapped them out

002 and 091 bell housings take different starters. Keep this in mind.

Got the starter that came with it and swapped BH to keep stuff from getting into it. Putting the gear dope in late yesterday top popped out while fulling nasty mess. :)

Got my engine in the Baja Sunday all ready to go. Had to push the trans forward about 1/2" in order for my lower studs to make it through. Now my problem, first gear grinds, snort , & jerks. 2nd once I get it going seems to be ok.
With me moving it a 1/2' forward would that cause it, or is first gear gone. I'm thinking about putting the one in my rail in its place
