welcome to the buggy world tony.i think you will be satisfied with that buggy, the 3 rib will be tested but as long as you dont dump the clutch and jump it in the throttle it should hold for awhile, but id keep my eye out for a super diff or upgrade to a built 5 or 6 rib in the future, ive seen 1915's destroy 3 ribs and ive seen 2276's run 3 ribs for years so i think it has alot to do with drivers and maybe how well its put together.but agian congrats and maybe see ya on the trail somewhere.chad

There is a bunch of great buggys in your area. Chris, Chad, Bobby, Johnny, many others. I hope to ride there this year too. Save up and at least come to the finale at D&K in October.

That's good to hear that you got a buggy now, I have rode with Cyle before at the Cold Spot and it runs pretty good, he climb hills with this very buggy in 2nd gear, the tranny has been holding up very well and he even takes off in 2nd as well, never misses a beat.

I NEED HELP... A HOSE WAS DANGLING FROM THE COMPRESSION BREATHER SYSTEM OR WATEVER..THE HOSE THAT GOES TO PASSENGER SIDE VALVE COVER.. HAD TAPE ON THE VALVE COVER HOLE. I GOT BUGGY SATURDAY, RODE BOUT 30 MINS, GOT UP SUNDAY AND FIRST HILL I CLIMBED I STARTED HEARING A CHATTERING... I SHUT OFF IMMEDIATLY AND CHECKED OIL. NOTHING.. I DIDNT CRANK ANYMORE.. GOT A QUART OF OIL AND IT PUT IT A LITTLE ABOVE FULL THEN I STARTED IT AGAIN AND IT SOUNDED AWFUL. CARRIED IT STRAIGHT TO BOBBY BELK.. A REPUTABLE BUGGY BUILDER. HE SAID THE ROD BEARINGS WAS GONE AND IT SOUNDED LIKE THE CRANK WAS HITTING THE CAM HARD.. SO NOW WAT

THE CALIPERS ARE BARELY BIG ENOUGH TO STOP IT THEREFORE YOU HAVE TO SMASH THE CUTTING BRAKE TO GET IT TO HOOK. BY THE WAY THANKS GUYS FOR HELPING WITH THE THROTTLE.. I FOUND ONE AT CHARLIES SUNDAY MORNING

How did it lose the oil ? It was changed the day before you recieved it. Did a oil line come off or rupture ? The thing with tape over it was a breather. Two breathers were hooked up but that would not cause you to lose all the oil .Did a push rod tube get pulled off by a stick mabey? please let me know . Also if i can help i will.

havent got that far yet baja.. im not very knowledgable but bobby is pretty smart bout them and he said thats where the oil came out and right there where that hose is dangling there are oil all over that cv joint and axle.. bobby took valve cover off and some of the gasket was missing.. but there wasnt that much oil there.. most of it was around that breather hose.. any help i would appreciate it. bobby said he would charge me 300 labor plus parts.. he said i would be looking at 800 to 1000 total price.. is that high or wat

Unfortunitely a stroker motor requires quite a bit of money to maintain. Its a shame you didnt get it with the 1915 in it. Its a much better engine to learn the ropes with. I would suggest a low oil pressure warning buzzer & light once you are back running again. Its cheap insurance to avoid future issues. I use a light with a gauge but Im planning to add a buzzer on my 2180 when the time comes.
