Hi Guys
I am thinking about buying my steering box and I am going R&P .
My question is will it really make a diffrence if I use a Hd econo rack with quicker steering compaired to a
higher priced slower responce rack with a 1 to 1 responce. I will be driveing my rail on the road as much as off road. But $200 diffrence in price is a lot if it won't matter much. I am trying to decide between a HD econo and a billit devel sr. or a Saco rack I guss what I want to know is 1 To 1 that much better than 1.5 to 1
Also what about tie rod ends (Ford, Internat, or Heims ??? )
What do you all think????
Thanks
MoblMec
Tim

You will like the Saco racks, they are very tough and the HD economy rack will not hold a candle to it, I have abused mine and Pipedope did abuse his as well and still working great, it will be well worth the extra $200 to get the Saco rack. You would want the 1:1.5 rack, that means you will turn one time and the rack will multiply by 1.5, it is like that I can turn the steering wheel about 3/4 turn both ways and the front wheels are fully traveled each direction, I love it!

Go with the Saco and don't look back. By the time you add the steering quicker and extra "U" joints you bought the Saco anyways. Also its just more things to wear out and maintain.

I would go with the saco! I have seen lots of the "HD" econo racks break.
