you should jack up the buggy and at full droop of the suspension take your fully extended shock and compress it about 1/2 to 1 inch and that should be your mounting spot at least that is how i done my shocks and have had no further issues

with the 3x5's i think they would be to long and loose traction unless you are running a heavy engine

all up travel? so how long of coil overs? like 12s? i think im gonna run 35 boggers but i dont want it to be super tall as it will have good clearance with the big tires..

is the up travel so when you hit holes or rocks roots etc that the supsension will soak it all up and not really effect ride,, but what if the hill dips and the buggy gets light it has no down travel to allow the tires to stay on the ground

still racking my brain a lot.. which is the better value on a wc motor? stand alone suby with turbo or an inline 4 like an acura motor

it seams as though most wc setups can be had at reasonable cost. issue are what needs to be done to make it fit and what sort of support is available. lots of support on here for suby and ecotec conversions. i know subys require oil pan mods.

this is correct

on the shock lenght im not sure as i still run torsion bars but there are a few people on here that do run coilovers but you might ask that in the suspension section to get more replys on the subject

well i finally got more tubing!! started to mount the seats tonight.. also got around 25 inches from the bellhousing to the rear of the cage so the ecotech is going to fit nicely!! found one at a u-pull with engine harness and ecu out of an 03 malibu

Just make sure the plugs from the ecu to the wiring harness are the same. They should all be the same but just double check that it plugs into your wiring harness.

I hooked mine up to my dash with a check engine light. Mine came out of a 03 cavalier automatic car so now I always have that damn light on. I would of found an ecu from a manual car if I had to do it again. The guy that reflashed my ecu told me he couldnt turn those off.
