I got my axels from a trailer place up here. Try craigslist, I find better results when I post what I'm looking for.

Tractor Supply Co. has several axles in stock that are perfect for a buggy trailer. Get a wide one (96"+) & you should be able to fit your rear tires between the trailer tires. You can only be a max width of 102" legally. For a trailer with a solid mounted axle you want to put the buggy's back tires over the axle & strap the tires down leaving the buggy suspension free to bounce otherwise the trailer tires will bounce while towing it. Once you have the axle the rest is just about sizing the H to fit your buggy. Give yourself an extra foot of length beyond your wheelbase so it fits longer buggies. The tongue needs to be at least 30 inches from the front of the trailer. 2x8 or 3x6 .120 wall steel makes a great center rail & hitch couplers come sized for it.

i would look for a older 16' to 14' boat trailer to make a H out of you can pick them up for 200 to 500 on CL around here. then most all the work is done for you. im planing on starting this way soon myself.

what works great is as mentioned above me about the boat trailer...where i live i just got a 24" aluminum boat trailer for 400 and i just have to get new bearings and im using it for the boat my dad and i are building so we have cut it down but with the economy the way it is go to your local boat or trailer shops and try to snag an aluminum trailer! you will ike them more then the steel, that is unless you dont know how to weld to aluminum or you are not bolting the runners to the trailer chasis
