I went with an engle 120 with 1.25 rockers it seems like the best of both worlds to me i have plenty of low and top end. I am anxious to blast a few more hills I didn't get to ride a whole lot after the motor was finished

Seriously? 19lb's. Wow. That's interesting,if your worried about wieght. Personaly, I want safe, reliable but with a lot of nuts and ready to rip. First thing is to finnish it, check it out, then figure out where I went wrong. Dave W.
They guy that built mine (Lewis) has been building motors for a long time and he just does not build it, every one is balanced and blue printed. Lewis is like the Godfather of vw motors.
so how does someone get a hold of a good engine builder? i want a 1915 in my stock block but want it to rip with a w/c 6 rib turning 33 cut boggers.. plan to go dry sump too...

seems you cant build a good motor on budget so that is out the window just want good power that'll take being rode hard and put up wet for many seasons...
