Here is my 1st attempt at a Hill Climb Flyer. I will keep working on it but I wanted to get some feedback.

Prolly needs to be made so that there is no color. Or won't be hard to read if its not in color. This is just help people print them out and stuff. I'd say drop the wb.com bar and just use some catchy letters. The same for the hill climb series part. Needs to be more informative. Like Buggy Hill Climb Racing Series or something that pops out right in your face that this is hard core fast pace buggy hill climbing racing. Like woodsbuggy.com needs to be in smaller letters. Kinda like woodsbuggy.com presents (but dont say presents lol) BUGGY HILL CLIMB 2010 RACING SERIES. Needs to have somewhere in big letters FOR MORE INFO PLEASE VISIT WOODSBUGGY.COM. Something like that. Just needs to be very simple, but explosive. Right to the point. And most information in the least words. Maybe even a short discription of how the events work. Like - High horsepower, nitro burning, dirt slingging, dune buggys fight for the fastest time on some of the most outragous hills! Naked girls, beer, BBQ and high speed climbing action! 8) Something catchy to kinda spiff it up. Give them a little idea of what a buggy is for one and two what a hill climb race is. Some people dont know what the hell any of this is. lol 8) All of this is just my $2.50. Good start though. Park to area to date is important.

Hey Boyd,

Good Feedback. You are going to challenge my witty side but let me see what I can do to make it a little more flashy..

I like it  I'm getting Tshirts made with DUBclubs help and I am going to use that on the back when you get happy with it.

That looks great!! I worked an a flyer a couple weeks ago and used the same header. I Like IT. When folks (non members) pick up a flyer and go to our web address, they will recognize the header.

I was making one for just the Stony Event, but the events are gonna come so close together it will be hard to make new ones each event. I like yours a lot, there just a couple more things we might need include . Thanks for your help!! PM sent.

not complaining or anything like that but just wandering why are there 2 wheeler and 2 d & k events and only 1 event at the rest of the parks?

by the way the flyer looks good but i have to agree with boyd pretty much especially about the banner (even though it is a nice touch) in case people want to print them out at home to display locally or something of the sort

We needed to balance out the events geographically . We have 3 events in Alabama and one in Tenessee,,we were bottom heavy. We were requested by Wheelers to do 2 and that helped balance . D&K got 2 because they offered to have 2 also .Wilborns only wanted one. Iron Horse came in late when the schedule was almost full. those parks offering to add to the purse were also given priority. Next year it might be different . This is the first annual WBHC series. We have a learning curve to deal with. Some might ask why no event in Texas, Penn, Missouri,,, we just did the best we could for our first year.

I think part of the reason Chris asked about Wheelers is cause it's gonna be a hell of a haul for some folks. Or just won't make it. I guess all the bama races are the same vise versa.

This is why you only count up to 4 events for points.

Do you mind if I copy the first one and put over on D&K site? Also, I talked with Happy not long ago at his shop in In. and he said if I would send him a copy through his email of any events we were having he would post them on his site. He actually incorporates them with his billing as well so when anyone buys anything the events print out on the bill. Here's his mailing address so if you want to send him a few paper copies to hand out at his shop Happys Auto Inc., 153 E Main St., New Albany, IN 47150, or I could send them if you like. I'm not trying to step on anyones toes, just trying to help out. Just let me know.

Yep.. Everyone can have a copy. Dave is going to post the final version on the home page so everyone can have easy access to the flyer.

I know exactly how you feel, and I'm sure most of the Wellsville crew does too. Weelers is around 275 Miles for me, closest event. First event is just shy of 600 miles. So you are not alone, but thats part of the point, I think  to have thes spread out in all the different areas, with different terrains. And I believe the local crews are setting up the hills too. That way we get rid of the excuse that I've heard once or twice about having a buggy that is built for where you ride, not where a particuler comp is held. It should even out the standings a bit. JMO, but I think thats what they were going for, I THINK. Does mean we all have some extra driving to be able to compete.

With out D&K we would not be having the event. They are letting us use their timers. So that was the least we could do to repay them with 2 events. And Ala. already had 3 events, so we had to put a few more up north.
