Well if all goes well within the next month or so I will have a turbo setup on my rail. I can't wait to feel the power slamming me back in the seat. SO, I was thinking about doing a photo build up to put on here if any one is interested in it.

Let me tell you from experience, be very educated on cams when selecting one. And take in consideration how you're going to be riding, i.e., hillclimbing, easy trailriding, fast trailriding or on the road. I went with a descent turbogrind at first, WOW was it ignorant at mid to high rpm, once the turbo started to make boost it would break the tires loose and get sideways, but sucked at low rpm. Especially that I like to climb big hills, you just can not let off the throttle to get over a shelf or around a tree and get right back into and expect it to be all there, I had to sidestep the clutch and then it would just blister the tires and i would loose all traction. Since, I've put a W-110 for the low end and there is a big difference even though I do not have the turbo on. My next step is to try the W-110 with the turbo and see how she does.
The best person to talk to about turbos is Turboblue (Gary) he's built tons of turbo motors and really knows his stuff. He's help me numerous times. Pic's of the process would be great. I'll be lookin' for them.

I am using a Turbo cam from Engle. Using a small turbo (T3) with a AR 48. I am trying to build it up so that I can have it on boost early. I have been doing the math on it and trying to learn as I go. Don't know how much hill climbing I will be doing. Can't wait to get it and installed on the rail.

My first cam was an Engle TCS-20, awesome on wide open areas but sucked in tight woods and hillclimbing.

This is the cam I am going with its the TCS 10. Heres the specs on it.
Value lift .430"
Advertised Duration 284* 276*
Cam Lift .392" .282"
Duration @ .050" 247* 236*
Lobe Center 112*

By the numbers I need a turbo with an AR 48, keeping my dual Weber 40's with a blow through turbo setup. Going to order it on Monday if all goes well and should have it in a week or so maybe. Should have it together and running soon after that. I am building my own header on this one too.

That should be a good cam for moderate woodsriding. Building your own header is a pain in the ass. I built my own also. The main thing to consider is where you want your turbo to sit. Once that is established you can build the header any way you like. My kit came with 7 u-bends and I had to cut what angle I wanted from exhaust port to turbo flange. It's a real challenge, but you will be proud when your finished to say "I built my own header". On 2 of the U's I quartered them so I had 8- 45*angles that were ready when I needed them.
Good Luck!

Going to use the header I have and modify it to fit. Then everything else I am fabricating up. I have had everyone tell me to stay away from building it, but I like the challenge. As long as I have everything on the inside of the tubing clean and smooth I should be ok. Have heard horror stories already about having something burn loose and get sucked into the turbo blades.
I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas.

Cool, I'm sure you can make it work. Take pics and keep us posted.

It gave me a bad taste for awhile let me tell you. SO I will move on and think twice before dealing with them again.
