I just got off the phone with Leroy and he told me that I can organize a Hill Climb at Wilborns. Leroy wants buggys to enjoy the park but he just don't want to be the organizer of the Hill Climbs . We are going to have hill climbs. We need to settle on dates. He opens first day of February and I expect to go down and ride maybe Feb. 6th,,that is the first Saturday. I am thinking a good weekend for our first hill climb of the season may be about the third weekend in March or April. While there we will work out some details and announce some Hill Climb dates.

We will be working out the details at the Feb 6th ride. As of now the event will be in May 15,,still gotta confirm this but the first 4 dates will be announced before the Stoney Lonesome event.

Many people are asking for a new hill. So I think there is gonna be some hill searching the Feb 6th ride. The problem is finding a hill that still has good area to watch from. There is a sht ton of people that come to watch the event. Some hills you can only see the first 10 feet...

Across the road from the exit gate from the canyon has alot of hills that has barley been climbed on,and is good for spectators. The hills could be cross linked together for some twist and turns very easily

I really enjoyed some of the first hill climbs in the canyon.I prefer long steep smooth hills with no water breaks. But, that's just my preference. No matter where the hill is I will be there, and I always have a BLAST!

Will the rules set for stoney lonesome apply to wilborn and all other woods buggy events? If so i think it's about time someone set some rules and i like the idea of having a rule commitee in order to change or submit new rules.

Yea Sharpshooter is right. Many good hills on the property to look at. Many people are wanting the canyon style hills back. I believe the rules are supposed to apply to all the woods buggy series race events. The rules are also up for suggestions and comments.

Nitro I understand the fuel thing. Think we all do. Its over 7 hours for me to get to D&K. Anything further north or east is even longer. Thats why the series is getting set up so that you have the chance to race atleast 4 races in your region. AKA Southern boys can go to Wilborns and Stoney to get there 4 races for points and the northern boys can go to D&K and the other pick for there 4 races to get there points. But we want as many people as they can to go to as many events as they can. But there usally is several good videos that come out of the wilborns climbs! Lots of people watching, cheering, getting rowdy, naked, etc. etc. :P

YES. The heading over those rules should read "Woodsbuggy.com Hillclimb Series 2010 Rules.

Well I wouldnt call D&K close, I think it took me 6.5 hours to get there as well. But I live in a remote area with no hills so I can't bitch. Plus if I gunna drive that far I'd rather go riding then watching, personal preference. But I love to watch the videos. 8)

Then you do karaoke saturday night. Then ride some more. Then ride a little sunday morning before packing up. 8)

No just racing. We ride!

Tried that at the Halloween ride but it rained and only a few of us rode Sat. And about 4 of us went for a ride friday night. Most just came for the climb then left. Glad I went anyways.

That's not to bad I guess. Do you like the terrain up there firebug? I've only seen veideos of some pretty nasty hills. I haven't heard if there is good trail riding too. I like a good mixture of both hills and trails.

Nah it should only be about 6.25 for you. Mapquest is a slower time, I always make it faster than it gives you.
