What axle length is needed for 3x3 on bug torsion with side shift trans? Also PM me if you have a working side shift for sale.

Maddog is right.
19 1/4 for 3x3
18 3/4 for 2x3
Top circlips only, no bottom clip

20 1/4 too long for 3x3's with a bus tranny. They will seem like they are workin, but when they plunge hard when your buggy lands hard they will bottom out , and bust the drive flanges or stubs, or break the end of the axle , or bust a joint, or all the above.

Is the width from flange to flange the same on all bus trans? 3rib,6rib and vanagon. I,m going from 3 rib to vanagon before months end. my current axles will work?

yeah i haqd the 19.25 but they would barely allow the cvs to even bolt in...the cv's never hit the max degree drop before the axle was .75 away from the flange...my thought is that the gap issue is due to my custome tortion...

when i measured at 0 degrees (or besat that i could tell) i measured 20.8 inches so i swapped out my 19.25 axles for the 20.25
