Thanks everybody! i can't believe I'm actually building my dream buggy already! (well, minus the 2633 and 2nd gear tranny, but that's coming next! )
Anyways, I've got a bunch done in teh past couple days. Got the floor, roof, rear deck, pretty much all diamond plate in it. Along with the tranny, lights, all controls, and the front suspension is about half way together.

Here are a few pictures I've taken.

She says it's hers and that i gotta get to building another one for me. Haha! I told her she can be my back up driver.

Thank ya. Haha I dunno about puttin pressure on Dad, I've got some learnin to do before I'm smackin him around. I gotta pretty much re-learn how to drive, going to a buggy about 600 pounds lighter than what I'm used to. Haha. The radiator goes up on the bottom of the rear deck, and I haven't mounted my leaf springs yet. I'm using leaf springs off the front of a Peterbilt!

LMAO! Anyways....

I think your dream buggy is not gonna be a dream so long. Your always gonna want bigger and better. My dream car is a 2 seater ls6 twin turbo Tatum sand car. I donno like $175K? WITH a playmate in the passenger seat. A dream it is. But I will own a 2 seater v8 long travel car by 30. I think your dreams will grow. haha

Yea, all that stuff might be cool on the sand, but I'll never want all that. That'd be more than overkill in the woods, wouldn't go nowhere. I'll always have an aircooled volkswagen-powered lightweight, simple built buggy. (pretty much a Kentucky buggy. ha.) Aint nothin ever gonna go better or climb better for the kind of riding and climbin I like. I'm definitely a KY boy. :D

My dream buggy is an all chromoly single seater with an EFI Turbo 2332 & 24 inches of ground clearance that weighs under 1000 lbs. Im probably gona have less in my new buggy than the engine would cost for my dream car.

I say you pick up a cheap 2 seater for your girl till she knows what she wants. Hell, my ex never could make up her damn mind....

Wow come on guys. Talking about dreams and yall are stuck on AC. Get outta here. The sound of a twin turbo v8. 1100+ hp. Verrroooommm Big huge coil overs on each corner with bypasses on each corner too. Headset radios. Dont have to have a light car when you got that power. Go over big dune and some passenger boobies flop out. Yeaaa. Ok eyes are open again. HAHA! :P

Hey buggynut. Taking a frame from say .095 DOM to Like .095 or maybe smaller chromoly on a hole frame would only save you maybe 50 lbs or so. I'd say not worth it unless bugget is big. Just my cents.

My EX moved in with me shortly after her 16th Bday. Its amazing what a little Poo Hah does to your sensibilities at that age. All I cared about was doin whatever it took to keep the AH HEM...coming.

He aint gotta do nothin for it, his momma chases girls off with a broom stick nearly every day. Dont know where he gets it, I dang sure aint never been lucky enough to have that "problem". :)

This girl sits on a stool in the garage every Sunday for 8+ hours at a time n just watches him while we work on his buggy. Think she might be CRAZY .........sweet girl, but crazy

Back to the buggy..........this is a build thread aint it?

Ha, no not quite. Didn't get to work on it much the past week. Still gotta finish the steering, put the rear torsion together, run oil and brake lines put the motor in it, wire it, and whatever else comes up. It'll be a few weeks.
