Here are some progress pics from tonight. Everything is plumbed except for a couple fuel lines. The shifter is hooked up, and I have my electric pedal installed.

Looking good Terry, is it gonna be ready for the Turkey Run in Lewis County on the day after Thanksgiving?

I am going to try to have it done by turkey run. All I like is setting up the rear suspension, mounting head lights, tail lights, running a couple wires and fuel lines. But finding time between work and the family is the hard part.

Yeah it looks like someone else's don't it? And it work's great. instead of using a joint to get my shiftrod the right height I tilted the shifter box.

So how does the inter cooler work and how many PSI of boost will it be running :?:

Actually it is a heat exchanger, it is like a small radiator circulating water through the supercharger. And it will be about 12 to 14 psi of boost. Unless I order the smaller pulley and injectors, then it should be around 16 to 18 psi.

Oh yeah and tonight I got my clutch and brake lines finished. Plus my fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator, and tank drilled for my return line. Now about two more good evenings and it will be ready for the dyno.

Thats exciting, I have always wanted a supercharged buggy.

Roots style supercharger should have plenty of low end tourqe. I have always thought that would be a better way to go on a woodsbuggy than a turbo. off idle power instead of waiting for spool up.

And I hear the powerband should be smoother as well. Won't just spike in the middle as bad.

Yea, the supercharger should make it feel like a much larger engine than it is with a flat torque curve. I'm surprised there aren't more supercharged buggies running around. Its gotta work better than waiting on a turbo to spool up. Don't get me wrong I like my turbo and the power spike is kinda fun. Does the ecotec have a bypass valve on the supercharger?

Well I got the rest of my wiring run last night. Now when I get home from work I will try to get everything hooked up. This working on the railroad makes everything twice as hard. I am home 12 to 14 hours every two days. And that isn't much considering family time, buggy time, and trying to get some sleep in the middle.

Yes, the supercharger has a bypass valve. And I can't wait to see how it does. I just have a feeling I won't get to ride it very long. Before I have to get one of those Eric Debord trannies. There is a guy around here with a s/c ecotec who has already blew a ring and pinion. Now he has a weddle r/p. I havn't heard how it is doing now.

Well she is finally running. And man does it sound good. Hopefully I will get to drive it for the first time tomorrow. All I have left is finish bleeding the brakes, put oil in the tranny, run air hoses to my airbags, bolt the seats in and the seatbelts to take it for a spin. I have other stuff to do for it to completely be done.

I finally got to drive the pack rat. And I am definatly impressed. It runs great the only problem I think I am going to have is breaking stuff. 1st gear is useless and 2nd is where it is at. I can't wait to get it in the woods and see how it does. I just need a good set of tires and 930's.

That's good that you got it running and driving it, and yes, you will probably have to be careful with that right foot until you get the drivetrain beefed-up. I have already seen a couple of Eco-tech powered buggies blowing up the super-diff and CV's especially 930's  Can't wait to see it in person, I kinda missed my old Packrat :( I am sure that it is a dandy now. See you soon on the trails, by the way are you going to the Turkey Run at the Undefeated the day after Thanksgiving?

I got to try the buggy out today. It done great and came back in one piece. I just need to tweak a few things. Like get the firestones on, better calipers on the rear, front breaks, and something with the steering.

How about a video with sound. Maybe get out on some blacktop and do a slow wheel stand under gradual power say maybe in second gear 8) I know you gonna get after it and break it. Might as well do it on video :)

Going to put it on a chassis dyno tomorrow. Had to put a trailing arm bearing in it today. And I got a set of 6" wide rear wheels and street tires on it right now for the dyno pull tomorrow, and man does it look gay.

So you had your ecm reflashed to eliminate the anti-theft correct? And this was done using hp tuners software? I have someone not far from here whos pretty sure he can do it using the hp tuners software. This is going to cost me 100.00 work or fail. He usualy works with vettes and camaros and so on and not so much with ecotecs but says if it can be done with hp software he can do it. He,s going to research it more for me tonight but i thought i,d ask here myself. Thanks Tony

Yes it was done using hp tuners. You can do just about anything with these ecm's using hp tuners. He has done a couple n/a ecotec ecm's for me too.
