Duane told me about that trip to D&K, said he didn't know it was Darrel's front yard he was hill climbing in. I think he also said something about how the girls out there made him look so bad that he took the "truck nuts" off his vehicle.LOL!

I remember those guys! Seemed like good ol' boys. I thought they were ridin with a big group? I know I seen 'em at the playground at least once with a big crowd.
Didnt know they were having trouble finding their way around. :(

Tell Duane to go on n put his "nuts" back on. There's no shame. When it comes to hillclimbin', D&K's girls can smack around 95% of the folks that visit for the first time.

Well I'm still shifting and adding weight to the front right now to keep the nose down better. Got my aluminum beam switched to steel, moved battery up front, switching from spindle fronts to 5 lug with drums, and adding a s-10 steering box. I'm great on power and traction just need to have the fronts touching once and a while and I'll be ready to try it out down there.

Yea, they were with us at one point. I heard later that someone was having a problem making it up one of the hills and we got separated. That's a problem when you have really large groups of people together it's hard to keep up with all of them. Maybe we should all bring walkie talkies like we talked about, that way maybe we can keep up with everybody better. You know all the regulars that ride there always try to stop when making a turn from the main trail, to make sure everyone is with us, but when you have others riding that are not familiar, sometimes they don't stop and it's easy to get separated.

KYbuggy my cutter brakes have been part of an ongoing problem loosing pressure. I think I gottem fixed? But still swapping em to S-10. As well as I'm still new in the buggies so I gotta learn to drive better as well. BUT IT IS A BLAST!!!!!!!

jason, any updates on jr's build? As soon as I get my new buggy done, I will be starting on Odd jr's buggy. I robbed a lot of parts off of it.

The Videos of D&K that I have seen are pretty intemidating. I get around ok in haspin, but D&K and even Wellsville may be to much for my buggy. I'm running a 1641 and until now I ran a sedan trans. I'll be running a 3rib now. I would hate to make the long trip to D&K or Wellsville and not be able to climb any of the hills.

You could probibly get around all the main stuff ok at D&K. The main trails at Wellsville would be no problem for you and Rick B. As far as the junior buggy, those plans went out the window. She doesnt have enough intrest to justify the $ and time investment. So at this point it is my new project buggy. The engine and tranny will go in way of something I can put in and leave alone, for now. Couple more tweeks on the bass boat and it will be time to let it stay as is. Then I can start the new project.

i have rode both places and i was running a 1641 with a 3 rib and in a 2000+lb buggy and i had me wife and the boy in it at wellsville.its not just what you have but how you drive it.the biggest problem i had was no cutting brakes and no front brakes,it was a little harder to get through some places at d&k with out the cutters cause it was muddy and some of the places i dropped over at wellsville was a fast ride without the fronts hooked up but if you can ride you should be fine, sure they will be places you cant go but thats not a reason not to go to these places cause they are alot of places you can and its well worth the trip imo.chad
