PRELOAD Us a torque wrench on the spindel nut . YOU need about 10" in/lbs of drag or less .

10in lbs jus dont seem like enough on the rear, seems like it would strip the hub or spindle spines

Torque the spindle nut 200 + and set drag with spacing of inner sleeve to around 10 in. pounds of drag. Just like a pinion nut on a 9 inch rear axel.

The woods buggy is back on hold for now. I only have 37 days to completly tear down the race car and prep it for the first race... and finish the a-arm buggy... and help a buddy with a rock crawler frame... and help dad on the farm.. does it ever end? :?

Ok, I have been working little by little on this when time allows. I have swaped, dug through, and tore down all kinds of transaxles and made up my mind on this water-cooled 091 with a 4.87:1. I am putting a super diff in it for now and running it. I have the beam in place and the air shocks sittin here, I just need to get the steering nailed down. My wife has been off school for a week, so we decided to get back at building HER Buggy.

Are you throwing some coils on there or staying with the torsion bars?

When I put the straps on, I plan to max out at 24-25 degrees. The cv's I'm useing have about 2 seasons of racing on them, (they are very worn in) so they could handle more angle, but I don't really feel like EVER breaking them, so I plan on them being around 12-15 degrees running angle.
