If you stay with stock width rear trailing arms you will need conversion axles,,,they are 15 5/8" . I have a pair leftover from another project if you are interested. Oherwise you will need bus to bug mount kit

and also raise your shifter box,,or angle the shifter rod,,,I prefer to keep the shifter rod a strait as possible.

here is a kit with axles,,but they are too long :? ,,and the axles are too expensive too,,,

Marty I have some spare trailing arms. I assume they are Sedan, how can I tell? Or is there a difference.

If you have the torsion, from the donor bus where trans came from, put it in the buggy.
That solves all you problems mounts axles everything, and the rotors from front will slide right on for disk brakes .

Currently has a sedan tranny and all matching IRS parts. Swapping in a 3 rib, would like to put bus CV's. Just trying to get as many parts for this build lined up so I can just go to town.

Find you 2 T2 CV's and firebugs axles with a bug to bus kit. I welded another shifter box on top of my old one to raise it. Its was easier than I thought it was. Check out viewtopic.php?f=12&t=6971
