Ive got a Scat catalog and im looking at the main bearings,it say's Type 1 main journal/standard case and then it has the sizes.below that it say's, .20"/.50mm Oversize case. What does oversize case mean.I had a crank turned .20" and the case lineboard. The machinest told me the rods and the mains were cut down .20",so i ordered the bearings that were under the standard case column, but the front and rear bearing dont fit tight, they move side to side a little and i know that is not right. Is there a difference between Chevy journal and VW journal when ordering main bearings for the case.

When you get your case line bored you have to run oversize main bearings to take up for the material that was cut away . You also have to make sure the thrust wasnt cut down also
