More than likely its a cv. watch the axle spin and then watch the cv's if the axle spins and the cv doesnt then thats the problem

stocks will work - but you have to know if it is car or bus on the stub axle side -- when alot of people switch to bus trans. they use an bus cv on the trans side and a car cv on the tire side. the bus cv's are bigger in diameter than car ones.
If you have bus on each side change it with a stock one if you have extras -- if you have to buy one buy one for a vw thing , they allow you a little more angle than stock bus cvs
Hope this helps ya,
larry

I don't know your financial position, but if you want to fix that problem for a long time, buy a porsche 930 kit. I am ordering one soon and I am told they will hold up for a long time.

They are really strong..........and expensive........... 8)

The riding style of most around here is better geared toward a bus to bus setup.
That bus CV acts somewhat like a fuse so it's less likely to break transmissions.
Just another opinion..............

I was a member of the broken cv joint club for a while. Just keep a couple of spare axles in the car. I had one friend go all out weld two steel plates to hold two axles under the hood of a Baja. Out of your budget but even a set of Sway Away axles will help stock joints last longer. Any engine other than stock needs larger CVs.
