Here is a part of a letter I got from one of our quieter as of late members. I disagree but I wonder if others feel this way,,,if so let me know what I need to do to save this site,,,please

"Growing is when you keep your members ....There is only about 35 people on here that actually post ........I give it a nother year"

I don't want hard feelings but this needs to be fixed,,,soon :?

Ok so I am sure not all 1200 members get on here every day. Some come and some go. I wonder if every member shows up at his Klan rallies?

there is a lot of people that watch this site but have never joined and or don't post.i have a lot of friends that look at it to get alot of info,so for that reason alone it is a great site just for the fact that it helps alot of people solve problems they may be having with their buggy.and i would have not ever heard of d&k,or wellsville,or have met all the great people at these places if it had not been for this site,so i know i will be on here as long as it is here, and i check this site everyday sometimes 5 or 6 times a day and there is alot more than 35 diffrent people throught out a week,if not in a day.you know since ive been on here i have supported our sponsors every chance that i could and i'm sure they care about how many use this site, but i don't think that there is a shortage of patrons,it's summer and people are vacationing and out doing things and this is the nicest weather that we have had in a long time and people might just be getting caught up with everyday life.not like in the winter time when everybody is biting at the bit waiting to ride and this is a great place to see what evrybody has built and what is new and who has been doing what and where and when is the big first ride going to be.so i'm not worried i will be here til the end.chad

The opinion of one letter does not dictate the outcome of anything. Last I checked there were almost 50,000 posts here covering almost 5,000 topics. Weather it be from 35 or 350 members the numbers don't lie. If it is in fact only 35 members doing all this posting then my hats off to all of them. Most members come here for an education on Buggys, riding areas and events and some for trouble lol. There is no requirement that says you have to post to be a member. Most keep a low profile and dont post unless they really need an answer that the search function can not find. Just about everytime I am on here (And I am here a lot) there are members on the status line that I know have never posted however there here for a reason. Firebug I don't feel you are doing anything wrong. Keep up the good work. If someone feels differently they can step up to the plate anytime! As far as the comments of keeping members, well only a few have left and and more join every week. You can not please everyone. I also see more activity here than the other sites so I would not be too concerned.

In stead of just posting the bad why not post the whole thing ? I sent Firebug a PM he said not to post in open forum if I had something to say to him ....so I did and he immediately posted [in part] what was said to him ....So this is what I sent to Matry and once again this was a PM ......Growing is when you keep your members ....There is only about 35 people on here that actually post ....No one has kept up BOTM ...the home page is still running a Curt's hill climb advertisment from Memorial day....I give it a nother year.

Still don't know what this means Marty what else do you think you need to fix :?:

Maybe you guys have not looked around but "buggies" are not on every corner and there are a lot of environmental groups trying to shut places down. The sport is just not that big for us to be divided.

Woodsbuggy.com has done a lot to promote the sport and I think Curt has personally made a significant impact with his leadership in chaindrives. Heck.. I am never met Curt but I believe he is one of the most talented fabricators and drivers I have ever seen.

However, I must side with woodsbuggy that we need to do what is right for the sport. Wilburn is a good place to ride and they put a lot of effort into promoting and growing our sport. It might not be everyone's favorite spot to ride but that does not change the fact they work hard and provide a place for people to meet each other and have some fun.

As for the N word.. Here is my opinion.. This issue has been blown way out of proportion.. tempers are flared that Curt left or was removed from woodsbuggy and this issue is only being discussed because people are using this as an example of their dissatisfaction with the management of the site.

So lets address the real issue... Why is curt gone? Rumors have it that Curt refused to make some change for Wilborn on the woodsbuggy site. Dean (and I agree) felt that the admin of woodsbuggy should be impartial and not allow his personal issues to influence the administration of the site. Curt lost admin privileges and decided to leave. This is what I believe has happened..

At the end of the day... All of this crap has impacted woodsbuggy.com and divided our group. It would be great if Curt (the leader of many) could find a way to rejoin woodsbuggy.com and bring everyone back together. only Curt can make that happen... If that is not a reality.. that is fine... Woodsbuggy.com will continue to grow with new members and will be successful regardless.

Just my thoughts
Dan

pretty sure we had a BOTM last month and pretty sure we got one again this month! there was ONE abscent month when this was going on and it hasn't been updated because there are things bigger than what everyone thinks they know. maybe you will soon wake up to a new site.

1200 members and counting wow! alot of the thanks goes to are moderators.(thanks)
do i think Curt was good for the site yes.everyone has to move on at some time in there life where getting older everyday. will the site grow. i do believe it will with or without some of us. some of the best people ive met are on here. my family calls it my WOODSBUGGY FACEBOOK. its been alot of fun on here. shoot if you draw a line around all the places you can ride i would be way out side the circle.but i still make plans to go. even if it is a night mare . and a special thanks go to the members.without you there is no site.

This site has saved me alot of time and money. It has given me knowledge that me or anyone tht i know had any clue about. I would have never been able to do the things i can do now. Such as the buggy i am going to look at this weekend. Will this site make it? Well i hope so, buggying is my life, i eat sleep and breathe it. I am on here at least 5 or 6 different times a day, i dont post much, but i dont know what people like Dsv1, Subysteve, Dean, and the list goes on, including curt. People have differences. Can anyone other than the people with differences help them? Not really. We have to let them work it out or let it be.

3 years ago i bought a 87" wheelbase buggy from Dsv1. It went from that 87" thing tranny, 1641 single port to a 102" wheelbase 1641 3 rib, with v treads. I am now moving to a single seater. This site has brought ALOT of people together. Look at the mem. day weekend, there was a sea of people there. I get to meet more great people everytime i go to a woodsbuggy event. I will do whatever i need to do to keep this site. Even if its just 5 members.

Dont think about just the people on here. There is TONS upon TONS of pure ingenutiy, and knowledge here. It would be a tradgey to loose years of peoples thinking and designing.
