It is a nice job you are doing. What will the power plant be? I did not see any mention of it.

I'll jump that hurdle when I get a bit closer, 200 holds the front end up for now, but you can push it to about any height and it will stay.

The oil is the dampening and the nitrogen is ride height, so they say. I had my shocks fully extended and added 300# and after fighting to get them on the car the front end wouldn't budge. I would have to check to see how many cc's of oil I filled them with. I just tapped the schrader valve until i got some movement out of the shocks. I have a long way to go to get them right. I haven't driven the car yet either so some heat and movement may help losen them up. Yes, we do have the same front arms.
There is alot of info on pirate4x4, and from wild pinto (i think) on here about air shocks. The papers that came with shocks say they can be filled with nitrogen "from a range of 10-500 psi. To calculate the spring rate multiply the psi by 1.105. (example 200 psi x 1.105 = 221 pounds of spring force) 3:1 is the standard compression ratio for our air shocks. You can modify this by adding or subtracting oil." Check out http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/PR-Airshox/index.html

Lets not talk about that right now :( , 1835 for now. Motor will have to be next years project. I want to get the frame the way I want it for now and when funds allow I can bolt on more power. I just want to get it running this season.

Once you get the motor in, the front end will lighten up a bunch. My front drops when I pull the motor out... picture it like a see-saw.

Did it make the front end "lighter" when you put the motor in?

Since all their frames are basicly one-offs, you could get just about any wheel base. I wanted to get throught the woods so I requested 106" (stock dim.) similar to beeline or some berrien frames. I think 116" would be a pain in the a@$ in the woods, but you could fit 2 big coolers in the back :D I'm 6'3" and with the suspension seats I've got enough room. I can almost comfortly fit in the back. I was mainly only concerned with the little ones getting in the back. For woods the smaller the better, Its certainly not made for me to run the big hills! I can give any pic, but right now its tore down ready for paint, if you look at some of the pics above you can kinda see what I had to do with all the seats. My pedals are about as far up as I can go befor the master cylinder on the clutch pedal interfers with the tie rod and I had to switch out my tall square resevior (I do have 4" longer arms though). Stock pedals would fix that if needed. Over all I am happy with the frame, and pretty good quality and price from Predator. With that said the front bumper and rear cage didn't fit worth a damn. They certaily didn't bolt it up before welding the tabs. Those were the only frame fab problems. I did also cut off and put a new "race brace" on for my prefrences. I'm hoping to get it painted very very soon to slowly start assembly, (new baby in a week and a half)!
