im changing yhis over from a rack,what model are the outside tierods,the book says international ends,im gonna reuse the big threaded aluminum rod

I dont know what you have however I would use 3/4" Hiem joints on the outer ends with misalignment spacers to eliminate any binding.. You can use use Ball joint ends on the rack because they only pivot in parrallel with the tie rods.

i was working on a buggy it had a heavy duty rack on it,we took it off and replaced it with a super beetle box and we used 1 inch aluminum tie rods with 3/4 in threads,he wanted to used tie rods instead of heims,but we found some there ford truck dont know what model but i have the part number now

I'm waiting for you to post the part #. I've been going through a heck of a time trying to find the right rod ends for a heavy duty rack.Thanks Dave.

Thanks, but it looks like 3 right hand and 1 left hand threaded rod end. So is one rod a fixed length and the other adjustable? The ones on the box don't need much angular movement but the ones on the spindles do. Is that why 4 different ends? Do you have a pic to go with your set up. thanks, Dave W.

es314r,,this is one side,,the other side has 3 part numbers on the box,i dont know why,jus does,the both screw in to an adjustable aluminum 1 in. rod,,,you only have 2 tie rods and 2 part numbers,these are autozones part numbers,so u can look them up there,or if u know someone thatsz an empi dealer,17-2591 left,,,17-2592 right,them are ford ,,,,17-2593,,left 17-2594 right,,them are internatonal,some racks use internatonal on the rack side,because the hole is so big,and u have to use ford on the outside,and u still have to drill out the spindle side of the tie rod end

Thanks again, I had just picked up a set of ends when I found your post. I think the # were ES350L & ES350R. This about the 4th set I've tried and the studs seam a little short, but fit. So I was going to grind a little off the top of the sockets both on the box and spindals ( I beefed the sockets on the spindals to matck the ones on the box, by welding 1/8 washers top and bottom and filling the overhang between them by welding) The only place I was able to find a taper ream was Snap-on. Dave Opps, The rod ends that I actually ended up with are ES 150L & ES 150R. Your #s are n't listed in our books here in Canada where most of the rod ends listed have metric sizing. I went through the Moog book and only found 5 sets that used 3/4" X16 thread, and they did n't stock them.
