 Post subject: Engine ID Numbers Help

Just getting started building a rail, got ahold of this engine with ID numbers - D136031X can you guys tell me some info about this engine...Year/HP/ETC...

hey on mine it says "OH" as the first 2 so then which is it? do i just use the "O" and forget about the "H"? Thanks for the help guys!

that must meen it's an ohio motor,thats probly only good for flat landers it wouldnt work good in something like a wv or a ky buggy.oh did i say that out loud,my bad.this should get some good feed back,i learned it by watching you kyle.lmao.chad :mrgreen:

well good news is i live in houston tx...doesn't get much flatter here...get on a roof and you can see a good 60 miles in any direction :lol: ...how do i figure out what year and what type the engine is?

is your motor a single port engine,by every thing i seen the motors that began with o was 1966,67 1500 engine.chad :mrgreen:

Ya its a single port...i was told it was a 1500cc by the guy i bought it from but thats all he knew...thanks man for the info...i had guessed a 68' but ill go with your analysis over mine in a heartbeat! im pretty new to all of this but it has been one great learning curve as a young man in my early 20's...Thanks for all the help guys!
