i am running a 2180 single carb.i have external oil filter and oil cooler with elec. fan.when i first run my buggy it runs great doesnt skip a beat. but about 20 to 30 min into a ride even a very calm ride my motor starts acting like a typical volkswagon thats running hot (missing and spitting and cutting out and for some reason starts blowing oil out of my crank case breather box) i have tried 2 different crank case breathers i have checked all ports to make sure there is no blockage. i do have a oil pressure guage and my oil pressure does not fluctuate when im in the gas its runs about 50 to 60 pounds and at idle and low rpm it runs between 20 and 30 pounds. im outta ideas and dont know what else to do. can you help me please????

i have seen coils go bad and after they get a little hot they start cuuting out but don't know about the oil coming out that sounds like blow by from the rings,may have a cracked head or jug.chad

gasman thanks i thought about the coil but i didnt know for sure and we just built this motor before the first holiday with new rings and heads but maybe i need to tear it back down and check em again??

Brandon you need to ck the compression on all 4 cly and tell if you have a cracked jug or head or ring
I have a tester at the house you are welcome to get it

SOUNDS LIKE A RING BUT IT COULD ALSO BE LEAKING BETTWEEN THE BARREL AND THE HEAD A COMPRESSION TEST WILL TELL THE TRUTH GOOD LUCK.
