Hello,
A big thanks to those who helped me get an idea of how to get started. I just bought a 1600cc vw powered buggy for $485.00. It needs some serious tlc but its a start. I will post pic after we pick it up.
Thanks again for the help,
Cameron

Good luck with your new toy. We are here to help you so don't hesitate to ask. I would also reccommend using the search feature. It will bring up a lot of different approchs to a given subject that will allow you choices on how to do things.

Wow, are you sure that isn't a go-kart with a torsion welded in it?? That's the shortest wheelbase i've ever seen. Good luck with the build, and keeping that buggy off of it's roof!

I picked it up today and could not belive how short it was. I'm pretty sure it will make a good trail buggy. Not so sure about going up hill

Definatly "STUBS" Because of the short wheel base being on your roof will happen. You should add a lot of trianglation tubes to add enough strength for a roll over. The vertical wind shield frame is extremly weak and will collapse really easy.
