Alright guys. I got a summer job. 225 a week for 8 weeks, so 1800 over the summer. I have now a badly cut front end (which i am replacing), a 1641, with a 3 rib, bus to bus, thing axles, thing stubs, and im going and cutting my tires soon. whats going to make my buggy the best hilllclimber/trailrider i can. i can spend atleast 1200-1400 on the buggy

If your going with a bigger motor, then you should sell your 3 rib and buy a 6 rib. I just done that for my boys rail and was only out $200. What size carb you running?

You won't like a 1915 and a 3 rib. Not enough 1st gear and not enough power to shift to 2nd on a hill.

3rib and 1915 = grenade with loose pin from my experience. I have 3 with a blown 1st from a 1915

Not all 3 ribs were greated equal.
Some versions are better than others......... 8)

5 rib would be better for his application though IMHO.
