A hill climb is designed to be a hill climb not an uphilll drag race. I noticed a few remarks up that some one had been helped out at the sand drags by Mark. I guess since Mark helped someone out at the sand drags, the favor was returned to him Sat. The hill designed was not intended for a long buggy much less Curts huge chain drive. So if I was going to point fingers it would be at the designer of the hill.

Certain people should not make comments about an event they were 'supposed to be involved with, but backed out of at the last minute,if you didnt like it just remember you chose not to be there to help when the hill was made.I believe the event was a success no matter who won,but what a lot of people dont know is how competitive the race was, first place ran a 15.40 second place was a 15.95,there was about five other buggys that had a chance to win but either broke or could not make the last turn, theres waaay to many people standing on the sideline making comments about things they had no clue about, for an example some complained about some buggys doing burn outs clearing there carbs out, whoever asked for that was allowed to do so,that had nothing to do with there time, each buggy was staged the same way with two people checking the light, once the buggy was staged and they started, there was no doing it over again if you messed up,the only time a buggy was allowed to run over was when the timing system was tripped twice by there engine sweeping through the beam, that was not the drivers fault so there for they were allowed to run again. And if theres someone out there that can satisfy 100% of the people 100% of the time please let me know, you will be more than welcome to prove it

First question: Did Mark have a radio to know when to stop when his skid pan tripped the timer not once but TWICE. No one else I talked to had those capabilities.
Second Question: How did you get an accurate time when the bright green buggy drug his skid pan the first 30 ft.?
My conclusion.......its B.S.

If you was there you would know that there was 3 different buggys that had to run again because of this problem including the bright green buggy, and if you were there and paying attention you would have seen us correct the problem by adjusting the light beams, and for your misinformation nobody had radios in there buggy they was informed at the end of there run by the offcial at the finish line,we can can play this game all day, if you think you can or want to run the next event please pm me your info and I will gladly pass it along to the park owners and I will take your place as the armchair quarterback that can always do it better my conclusion you dont have a clue

I just wanted to ask if everyone had fun and enjoyed the event? I didn't get to make it but wanted to. I hope that there is some great videos of those that attempted and those that made it up the hills.

Just for your info uphill19 curt was told that the hill would have several tight turns in it prior to him showing up,because I told him, curt made it up the hill fine,if you were keeping up with all the post on this forum you would know that curt said it didnt matter about turns that he could handle it,and he did,but he broke his buggy on his first run, that may have effected the way it handled,I really dont know, but I do know that everybody that entered gave it 110% on each run,and I would say at that point in time on that hill the best driver won. That may all change at the next hill climb anybody can be beat at any given time.I just wondered if someone other than mark or curt won, would we be having this discussion :?: :?:

remember I said at that point in time,Iam first to give credit where credit is due Both curt and mark are one of the best if not the best at what they do,I have seen curt climb some unbelieveable hills,on the other hand I have been to D&K and seen not only mark but most of the KY. bunch thats on this site climb some extreme hills.Everybody has there favorite driver and they will argue they are the best, thats what great about this country, we all have a choice, so everybody needs to start working on that bigger and badder buggy and come take the money next time,I would bet that R.Herring will be back, and you can bet that he will be faster

Also David, Mark said that the people that ran the event and the park was some of the best he has ever seen.

THAT BRIGHT GREEN BUGGY SHOULD HAVE WON THE HILL CLIMB, IF YALL NOTICED ON HIS RUN HE CROSSED THE FINISH LINE ON HIS BACK 2 WHEELS AND THAT IS WHAT BROKE THE BEAM NOT THE FRONT TIRES SO HE WAS ATLEAST A HALF SECOND FASTER. HE HAD THE SMOOTHEST RUNNING ENGINE THERE I THINK HE BUILT IT HIMSELF, LOOKED LIKE THIS GUY IS FIXING TO MAKE A NAME FOR HIMSELF, YALL BETTER LOOK OUT.

I dont know about the finish line, but I do agree that Robert herring is one of the smoothest and fastest drivers around, and yes he builds his own engines and yes he will be back faster and will be a top contender in march.First and second was very close, the times were 15.40 and 15.95 Iam looking forward to a rematch between him and Mark
