can a 6 rib be made to fit in place of a 3 rib without any mods to the tranny or engine mounts?????

i know they are diiferent lengths but maybe use diff nose cone or bellhousing ??????

also will a chunk out of the inside where the shift rod fits into the main case hurt anything??????

its only about the size of a thumbnail or little less or should i just get another case before i attempt my first tranny put together???????

i got this thing from a buddy who sold out at a steal but it is a basket case

by the way thanks in advance for any adice anybody has :D

I think that if you are using a 6-rib with a 6-rib bellhousing, it is 3/4" longer than the one with a 3-rib bellhousing.
