Just wanted to ask if it is possible to convert my swing axle torsion to a irs torsion i mean can i just make tabs bor the trailing arms or do i just need to change my torsion one of my buddys said we could just weld some mounts but im not sure any help would be great

yea you can buy the brackets to weld in yours and convert it over just make sure that you get them aligned right. they also sell a jig for welding them in.chad :mrgreen:

You can re-use your spring plates, but you will have to shorten and redrill them. Thats actually a slick way to go , then you dont have the "stump-catcher" stickin out from the torsion like regular IRS.

mitchles vw service center just outside of tuscaloosa should have weld on adapters not sure about the jig but i have seen it on the samba and in magazine ads for sale also d@b body shop just outside of rogersville should have the adapters but is usally a little more expensive than mitchles but not allways :)
