I'm way late, But I'm really glad you're okay and having a speedy recovery, Bill.
I think in that case, either kind of bracing would have helped. ONe may have helped better than the other, but anything would have helped it. One piece of 1" .095 from the centeer of the roof to the floor woulda helped that. Bill, Just make sure ya brace it up good this time! Those braces my dad was talking about really help alot.

Glad your alright.
Afterburnt and myself have a tube bender and the rest of the stuff to rebuild the cage if you want to go with 1 5/8 x .120 wall tubing. All you have to do is get your buggy to Brook Park and supply the tubing and a little help.
Just offering so you'll have it for Memorial Day.

Guy

thanks for the offer. fortunately i have a well equipped garage. i'll get it done one way or another.

Ya know that 1 5/8 .120 dom is WAY stronger. I've bent both 1 5/8 .120 and 1 1/2 .090 and that 1 1/2 is like butter. My roof was 1 1/2 when I bought it. I added a second rear hoop. When I get time the roof and upright pillars are coming off and being replaced by 1 5/8. I figure I can afford a little extra weight if it saves my neck. Just my opinion.
