How do you know how to choose the valving for fox 2.0 shocks and what is the difference in remote reservoir and non reservoir? and could you guys give me some idea of what your running on 2x3 arm cause i dont want to get to short or to long. Thanks Dave

Your valving should be done by the weight of your buggy and style of riding. For normal trail riding all you need is the weight of each corner and your Shock dealer should be able to valve to suit your needs. Typically fox shocks come with a 60/40 valving and seems to meet most needs. 2 X 3 arms with 930s typically use a 12" shock. Keep in mind it also depends were the shock mounts are located. The difference between the non resivoir and the resivor shock is the amount of oil in the shock body. The resivoir style shock allows more oil in the shock body by putting the nitrogen in the resivoir. The advantage of that is less heat hense less ware on componets and longer between a rebuild. Also the shocks fade less. For the average trail rider non resivoir shocks are fine, however my recommendation is go with the resivoir shock.

wille 12's would be plenty. thats what i run on mine with 930's and 3x3's. ebay you can grab them for 190.00 a piece with remote res. 150 without remotes.

willie those are just for standard emulsion shocks not coils. if you go coils then i would look into sway aways. I think for 259.00 a piece you can pick them up. I don't run any bumpstops with the emulsions.

yes you still have about 100 in springs plus dual rate hardware another 50 might as well figure 500.00 per shock for full coils.

2 weeks ago, i bought a set of 2.0 fox air shocks for my front end, from down south motor sports, and they were $ 214 each with free shipping. and in the back, i do run 12 inch fox air shocks, with pro comp mx6 emulsion piggy back shocks. I have bump stops and straps. I looked the other day, and i did notice that the bump stops never did touch the trailing arms. but with that kind of money involved, bump stops are cheap insurance. I was really impressed on how smooth the ride was, and when i jump, it feels like im landing on a pillow.

you have removed your torsion bars then correct?

I want to sell my front shocks. Would work great for rear shocks! Fox Nitrogen Lift shocks. Either 8 or 10 inch travel. Use them with no torsion bars.
