I have to finish the wireing, bracing and bump stops on the front suspension and its ready to go. The coilovers and limit straps should be here soon and need some advice on bracing the shock towers, im going to weld a brace from the bottom frame tube to the short piece of tube for the 6 inch wider beam.

I finally got the coilovers put on i ended up with 175 over 300 spring rate after talking to mike at offroad engineering. The bump stops are tacked in place and im going to tear it all back down to weld them, one problem i ran into was how to brace the wider beam and still be able to remove it. The original plan was to put short braces to the short piece of tubing but because of the 1" brace on the tower thats not going to work so im still working on that. For the tower support im going to weld some 1/8 plate to the hoop and bolt the tower to it with the shock bolt.

So I finally got everything together today and took it on a 15 or 20 mile trial run, everything was great other than the oil pressure line blew out but that was an easy fix. Now its time to get started on a bigger engine, i have a 1835 that just needs new rings that im going to put on it for now 2332 coming next year.

how did the 175/300 spring combo do on the front end? I started out with a 200/250 combo and it was way too stiff, even after I fixed the arms being too tight inside the beam, I now have 110/125 combo with 100 psi of nitrogen now and it did very well so far.

The spring combo is prefect in my opinion, I have it set up at 35% droop with 2.5 inches of travel on the 175's befor the 300 lb springs kick in and I think 200 psi of nitrogen?? they were charged when i got them, it rides really smooth on the trails and not too stiff when it sets down hard or the road gets rough. I put 10 hours on it yesterday and did everything from 2 or 3 mile high speed runs down the highway to get from one trail to another to a steep loose sandrock hill with what seemed like a 3 foot straight up rock about 3/4 of the way up that i thought was going to drag the bottom out of it. I told mike at offroad engineering exactly what i was going to do with it and the type of terrain i would be riding on and he set me up perfect, definitely the guy i'll be looking up when i get ready for coilovers on the back.

WoW 175/300 on the front end. Man that seems really stiff for a buggy. What is the aproximate weight of the front corners of the Buggy. I have a really heavy Buggy and I am running 100/150 and it works well.

Both sides were around 200lb sitting level, the bottom shock mount is 6'' from the pivot and the spindle is 10''. I have 14'' of travel and 17'' ground clearance with 35% droop. Id really like to replace the 2'' raised spindles because im limited to a 27'' tire in the front for it to sit level and my springs are at the very top of the shock. Im looking for a set of 16x4 or 5 with 4 lug or chevy 5 pattern to run a 6.00x16 front.
