i am set at 18 inches but can go to 25 ..... what do most people have in the rear??

Thats a ton for a "conventional" buggy on 31's. Where you measuring at? Most of ours are around 14" , give or take an inch, to the lowest point on the engine cage with 930's .

as a good point of reference how about everyone measuring off the bottom of the torsion tube in the rear and off the bottom lower beam tube out front. all at ride height (full droop)
i have 17" up front and 17 3/4" at the rear

that sounds excessive. My new car has 5x7 arms 930 cvs coilovers 33 boggers and about 25 " of ground clearence at full droop. (I should get more when I move the tranny back, cv's max out)

Don't know much about droop but sitting in the garage right now it's 17" rear with 35" boggers, and 17" front with 6.70 x 15 vtreads. I can keep it at 17" in the rear with my 31x15.50x15 diggers with the air bags.

im sittin at 12" with the way my skid plate is V'd downward but ima make it flat and add a cross beam for support and get another 3 inches outta it so ill be at 15 at my absolute lowest point

droop is basically the amount of wheel travel from ride hide height the max travel of your suspension on the stops. (the distance it takes the jack your car up from ride height till the wheel come off the ground) typically 40% droop is a good number ie. 10" of travel will have 6" compression and 4" droop

new buggy not ridden yet 17 1/2 front 17 1/2 rear I know it will settle after a ride or two

I have 17" front with 2" droop and 20 rear with 3" droop measuring it like Bill said. I havent had it out since I rebuilt the front and rear so it might settle a little more.

Just remember if you jack it up to get max ride height it usually rides like a tank.

No full droop would be jumping your car in the air and all the arms hit the stops. ie full droop. Your suspension would be jacked completely tight if you rode around at full droop haha. Droop is the sag when you let the jack down which should be about 35% of your total travel.

Kyle you are confusing full compression with droop. They are not the same. Droop is the ride height at spring preload. Full Compression is at the upper travel limits.

i was at 21" then i had to drop it due to i was snapping cv's left and right so now im sitting at 16 in the rear and 12 1/2 in the front

???Full extension (bottom stops or when the limit straps stop suppension) AKA full droop, opposed to full compresion (top stops)??? Lets compare apples to apples! Am I missing something?

All this droop and no droop is just confusing me. Lets just say "Topped Out", "Bottomed Out" and "Ride Height".

Ride Height ------ 17 inches Rear and 14 inches in the front
Topped Out ----- 21 inches Rear and 18 inches in the front
Bottomed Out ---- I have no idea- I will bring a tape measure next time I land a jump

you are correct i did say "full droop". At full droop, the suspension is extended as far as it can go. Typically, the shocks springs or limit straps dictate the position of full droop. the term "droop" as used by odyknuck (ride height at spring preload.) is what i was referring to. come to wellsville this spring and i'll buy ya a beer.
