Got the motor all together. Greg built a fine machine once again.

Specs 2332cc
84mm crank
94mm cylinders
5.6 H-Beam Rods
042 Mofoco heads (40x35.5)
VZ15 Cam
Chromolly pushrods
CB Dry Sump
BMD Dry Sump Serpentine System (sand sealed)
11.88:1 Compression

Went to Drews today and got a bunch of parts. Also picked up another set of used 4 plys. Got just about every part I need to finish the buggy, and all the AN fittings from Jegs, trip two will be back tomorrow all my tanks ones are wrong! We got the cobra running tonight and took it for a test drive so its pretty much going to be building like crazy for 3 straight days then off to D&K! Looks like christmas at the buggy garage.

Gotta agree with you here, Rock. Dry sump pump and stock style cam gears dont get along too well, I've been told. Luckily it is the small pump, maybe it'll be ok. Hope so.

I ran stock gears with that same pump for one year with no problems, but tore it down and put straight cut in the first winter to be safe.

i was told by cb unless you are running a turbo application, straight gears are not necessary.

yep mofoco gets a thumbs up from me.

I did all the work to the spindles last night to. welded up the KP gusset kit, then because I run heim joints for tierods I had to drill out the spindles to 5/8ths. This leave very little material left around the spindle hole so I took some round bar and heated it up an bent it all around then welded solid. Spindles and stuff are one of my favorite cool looking things.

got a bunch done last night. frontend is on, just going along and making some mounting tabs for oil coolers, wiring, etc. I picked up a complete waterproof 6x6x6 work box from local electric sales shop. Got the watertight fittings to feed the wiring out of the box also. pretty trick setup and got it all for 30.00 I need to get some gaskets and stuff so I can bolt the carbs on and get it ready to hopefully make some noise tonight.

never had any problems with MOFOCO heads.I have on the other hand built motors that had a lot of wear caused by pressure from a slash cut gear
and you can call the Bergs and tell them I said so
