 Post subject: side shift 091

i was wondering, my buddy has a side shift 091. and he was wondering if there was a kit to make it a nosecone shift. or is there a cheap linkage way that he could use. and with the side shift his horns are a lil to close

Scroll down a few topics in the transmission forum and you can read all about it. The side shift from a watercooled vanagon has been discussed several times. If its the side shift from an air cooled and the shift mechanism is in the tail shaft it can be converted to the older style tail shift version with some work. Turboblue (Davis Racing) and Drew's sell the linkage for the watercooled side shift. I was at Drew's yesterday and they had one in stock.
