OOOPPPSSS!!!! I just got back to work from a FRA signal violation. 1yr 2 months off. Thank GOD for BRCF!!! 15yrs as an NS Engineer doesn't mean squat when you slide 2 and a half engine lengths through a signal, even though I had no air in the train.

I currently work as an Electrician for Haverhill North Coke Plant in Franklin Furnance, Ohio, been there for about 9 months now and I am a member of the United Steelworkers local 2116 out of Portsmouth, Ohio and worked at Mill's Pride as an Electrician for 10 years prior (non-union). This was the best move I've made, Mill's Pride was going downhill slowly and I got out of it before they started laying off Maintenance people about 3 weeks after I left......that was a close one!

I had an interview with NEAT for IBEW and turned it down. Just can't see giving up 15 yrs seniority and doing an apprenticeship out of state just to speed up the program.

Booner, I live about 10 minutes from Averitt's facility in Cookeville, Tn. Holler at me if you are ever up this way.

Darlene-I currently use a broker out of knoxville that gives me sweet deals on loads. If you think you can beat their pricing send me an email to chris@kustomproducts.net.

You know if we(buggy riders) can help each other out with work or possibilities of work we should always do it.

Well DVS1 it looks like CSX has seen the light and decided to put me back to work with full back pay and a clean record after 14 months of being off. They decided to do it one week before arbotration. They tried there best to starve me out. Any ways it looks like I will have the funds to finish the s/c pakrat.

Full backpay? Sweet deal! Congrats!

Its a shame that companies try to starve people out of their unemployment by denying and fighting it when people apply. Sad thing is, most of the time they win.

Yeah they would of put me back about nine months ago if I would of signed a paper saying I did it. And then they wouldn't of had to pay me or give me my time towards my retirement.
