Thats what I thought too. Wonder if you could drill the cv a put a fitting in?

Now your thinking.. Or some kind of fitting that just slides around the axle with a fitting..(removable)

I use zip ties on the small side of the boot. Cut the zip tie off, get my grease needle slide it under the boot end and grease away. I do that every 2 or 3 rides.

Awesome idea!
You could drill a 1/8" hole from the outside of the cv down into an area that does not have a ball track.
You would then drill a short distance from the outside for your grease fitting.
You could keep a flathead dummy grease fitting in the holes until you need to grease the cv.

Exactly what I was thinking! If you drill it close ti the tranny flange in the thick part of the cv, what would it hurt.

Couldn't one put two grease zircs 180 degrees apart and you wouldn't have to take them out.

if you left the zerks in the cv they would get all nasty muddy and prolly get snapped off on something in the woods, but like jim said about the dummies, thatd work
