We 've got some guys we ride with that cut them to the core. I have a set of 36" swamppers cut straight across and to the core. they are ready to be replaced now, but withb 6 to 8lbs of air they mold real well. We have not weighed any of them to see differances. Maybe next set!

Dean, I will tell him that, but he knows he's gettin good at it and is gettin cocky about it too.
Yes, grooving is for the young, especially since my son is only 13 and has grooved Dean's boggers, MadMike's and my flotations.

He did a great job on my Firestone's and as long as he want's to cut tires for a couple of extra bucks, he can do every tire I get. Hard to find a young kid that can stick to a project and make it look good. I've told a bunch of riders that a 13 year old cut my tires, no one belived me. That is a complement to him and his work.
Thanks again.

you could use a burnsamatic and a sharp wood chissle not the prettiest thing but they work very well now dont forget about the 14 to 18 hours of cutting for both tires

what I did, at work I told the boss that we need a tire groover to groove the tow motor tires and that would save him a lot of money and he went for it, so I ordered the one from poly performance, I cut the tow motor tires, he was real happy with it and now I got a tire groover to use and they even buy all of the blades. And I did find out that up in pennsylvania the company that makes the tire groovers, sells cutter blades
up to 3/4 inch wide.

You talkin about Van Alstine? They do make the best blades my son has tried. He uses one of their groovers, too. It worked great, but the head on it is kinda big. I heard there is another one that has a slimmer design. Ours has quit working , and he has only cut about 9 tires with it. Called them up and they said they'd fix it, but we havent got it back yet.

ya, thats the company. they are a bit slow, it took me about three weeks to get some blades out of them and the guy finally called me and told me he was making them and it took him another week after that. I think they are a real small company but i dont know, but they where nice blades, so i was happy. i just keep a small stock of them.
