Myself and a small group of friends went on an overnight street ride last Sat. & Sun. July 14-15. We drove down to Pegion Forge Saturday, rented a cabin Sat. night and drove over to the Tail of the Dragon Sunday, then home Sunday night.

Along the way we did have a couple of mishaps, but hey we are professionals. We took care of it in short order. ''

Back on the road again the scenery was beautiful.

We drove across the Tail of the Dragon so fast that Rick's poor buggy had the paint blown clean off it. ':P'

After driving home Sunday night Kathy and I went back down and spent the next week in Wears Vally on vacation. We went to Cades Cove where believe it or not we finally after all these years of going down there got to see a bear. We actually seen 5 bears, 3 Elk and a bunch of dear. We were only about 10 feet from this bear who's cubs were up in a tree beside her. We had a great time. Bruce wish you and Angela could have been with us you would have enjoyed.

It was great. We do these kind of rides every now and again. Get your buggy licensed and you can come join us. We would love to have you. The more the merrier.

WOW! that was some beautiful scenery. What I wouldn't do to be able to drive my buggy on the road. Oh, and the buggy's clean up pretty well also.

Thanks everyone. You know, it took me two years to decide to have mine licensed for the road and I was dreading it. But once I decided to do it, it really wasn't bad. All that red tape sounds worse than it really is. Of course I live in the capital of Ky., so I live where all the government offices are and I walked most of it through. I had the most trouble out of the Sheriff's office inspecting it than anything. I had my trail tires on there and he just about freaked out over them. Once we got past that issue it took me less than two weeks to get it all done. I don't know what it takes to get the job done in PA. You might want to call your Transportation Dept. there and find out. It may not take much.

I've never wanted to ride on the street, but that looked like a great trip.

Well, I figured if riding a buggy in the woods was as much fun, it would have to be fun riding one on the street so in addition to my woods buggy I built me a buggy just for the street. So now I have the best of both worlds. It was a great trip.

Awesome pics, Wes. Some of 'em look like postcards!

Did a little street riding myself in New Smyrna, FL last week. My street legal four seater wasnt done, so Tim (Southern-buggys) let me haul a street legal two seater that he's got for sale all the way down there so me and the boy would have something to do while the wife and my youngest laid around on the beach all day. It was pretty fun. Not as much fun as ridin with a bunch of other street buggies, though, I'm sure!
Thanks again Tim, you're the MAN.

Anybody lookin' for street legal rail ought to give Tim a holler. It's pretty nice, and never gave a minute of trouble. $4500. 2165, single IDF, 3-rib, hydro pedals, everything looks new, sounds awesome! Harley riders were putting their hands on their tanks to see if their motors were still runnin' when I'd get next to one!
